ELIZABETH COWAN PHOTO (1890'S)
The original photo (left), and the edited photo (right). This photograph was taken sometime between 1890 and 1905.
Changes to look for: This was originally a picture of a newly married couple, John and Elizabeth Cowan. The client wanted separated pictures of both the subject and her husband; The desired effect was to create an image that appeared as if the photos were taken of each person IN ADDITION TO the restored "couples shot."
Splotches, due to photo aging/staining, and ink bleeding have been cleaned up. Subject's eye is fixed. Her necklace is also readjusted for symmetry. In addition, the husband's shoulder has been removed from the original photograph.
